GCSE Results Day03/10/16
Students and staff at Meopham School are celebrating the highest GCSE results in the school’s history. An incredible 71% of students achieved 5 or more good GCSEs, including English and Maths. In addition, 84% secured a grade C or above in English Language while 80% secured a grade C or above in Maths. 74% attained the “gold standard” A*-C in both English and Maths.
Notable student successes include Phoebe Bix, who achieved 8 A grades and 1 A* grade as well as 2 Bs. Phoebe said, “I’m speechless and shocked. I’m just so happy.” Lucy Graham, who achieved 8 A grades and 4 B grades, said, “I’m overwhelmed. I did not expect to achieve grades this high.” Billy Peacock, who achieved 6 A grades, 4 B grades and 2 C grades, said, “This is just amazing! Amazing. All that hard work paid off."
Headteacher, Suzanne Dickinson, said, “These outstanding results are due reward for the hard work and commitment of students and staff.”
Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for student outcomes, Matt Pyrke, said, “This year’s outcomes are a tribute to the commitment and resilience of the students at Meopham School.”
Suzanne Dickinson added, “It is fantastic that our academic and family ethos in a small school setting is producing such excellent outcomes for our pupils.”
