Careers
Meet the Careers Team
‘At Meopham School, we want to foster a culture of ambition, where students develop a deep understanding of the working world, nurturing their aspirations and equipping them with the skills and resilience to shape their futures. Through comprehensive careers education and guidance, we empower students to make informed decisions about their pathways, setting them on a course towards fulfilling and rewarding careers.’
At Meopham School, careers are the foundation in building our students to become successful citizens for tomorrow in whatever career path they choose. We work closely with The Education People who regularly advise us as we work towards the Gatsby Benchmarks which set out best practices for all schools across the country. We also work closely with Canterbury ChristChurch University who provide a range of activities for students from Year 8 to Year 13 such as writing personal statements and Student for a Day opportunities at the Canterbury ChristChurch University campus in Canterbury.
Before school, at break and lunchtimes the careers team will be available to speak to students about future plans and aspirations and are able to answer any questions that students might have regarding their next steps. Parents and carers are always welcome to contact Ms Bishop, our Careers Leader, to seek advice and ask any questions they might have regarding career pathways.
Our series of employer encounters ensures we have a variety of guests coming to the school to speak to students about a range of careers and interesting experiences.
If you would like to come and deliver a talk to students as part of our employer encounters programme, or you would like to be part of our Careers Fair, please contact the Careers team.
