Year 10 pupils have been working on Macbeth. They are to create character notes based on the characters of Macbeth, Lady Macbeth and the Witches. They are also to create a series of mind maps around the following themes: power, ambition, the supernatural and the relationship between Macbeth and Lady Macbeth.

Year 11 pupils have all been sent an email by Mrs Wrighton (Director of English) with a series of clips to watch on YouTube to help with revision for their English examinations next week.

All pupils need to complete revision based on Macbeth and A Christmas Carol for Paper 1, and An Inspector Calls and Poetry for Paper 2. It is imperative that all pupils have a thorough and detailed knowledge of the texts in order to achieve a level 5 or above. Pupils can make posters based on characters and themes. They will also need to learn at least 10 quotations for each text. Pupils need to learn at least 3 poems for their examination.
